Care, cleaning, and the space in between
Small habits that help you care for the products you own.
Care starts with the instructions for your specific product. Materials, waterproof ratings and electronics vary, so a method that suits one item may damage another.
Read before rinsing
Check whether the item can be submerged, rinsed, or only wiped. Do not immerse an electronic product unless its instructions explicitly allow it. Use the cleaning method and products recommended by the manufacturer.
Before and after use
Clean according to the instructions, and let the item dry fully before storage. If sharing, consider barriers and cleaning steps appropriate to the product and intended contact. Cleaning is not necessarily the same as disinfection or sterilization.
Store separately
Keep products in a clean, dry place away from excessive heat and direct sunlight. Separate storage bags can help prevent material contact and keep surfaces free from lint and dust.
Check for wear
Inspect for cracks, changes in surface texture, damaged cables, or battery issues. Stop using a damaged product and contact its manufacturer. Do not use unapproved charging equipment.
This guide provides general care considerations. The manufacturer's instructions take priority for your specific product.
